The Plein Air section of www.myAmericanArtist.com is moving to the Plein Air blog on the new American Artist community site. You'll still get Q+As with the top plein air painters in our country, tips on improving landscape-painting technique, articles on the plein air painters of the past, and news on regional landscape-painting events and exhibitions, but now, you'll be able to offer direct comments and feedback on the articles being posted, ask questions, and initiate forum discussions on the plein air artists, tips, and events that interest you most.

Check it out today!

Great to see plein air events, blog, etc in your magazine. I will subscribe and appreciate all exposure for plein air art since the other magazine sold out to "conniuseurs" (sp?) . Thanks, Silvio

Has anyone heard of this; using a medium of 1 part damar, 1part stand oil and several parts terps, maybe 6, the artist charges his brush then dips it into the medium and applies it to the canvas, after wiping the clean side of the brush, the side without paint on a rag.

someone PLEASE bring back a plein air publication!
