Cover Competition for American Artist and Watercolor magazines

Take advantage of the opportunity to have your artwork reproduced on the cover of American Artist or Watercolor magazine in 2009 and included on our website, www.myAmericanArtist.com. One work of art will be selected for the cover of each print publication, and 10 semifinalists in each competition will be chosen for articles in the same issues and for the myAmericanArtist.com website.

How Artwork Will Be Selected

The editors of the magazines will select the winning entries. All subjects will be considered, whether portrait, landscape, figure, or still life. Media appropriate for the content of the publication and website will be selected. Cover lines, UPC codes, and image captions will be superimposed over the selected artworks. Only semifinalists will be contacted at the conclusion of the competition. See past winners and fellow entrants on our website. Check our FAQ page in the Competition area for more information on how to enter.

Get started on your paintings now, and check back at the Competitions section for more information on how and when to enter.

Deadlines?

I'm interesting in woundering if The American Artist is an art job, if so than I would like to join in this field because I am the best person for this job. I realize that their are likely other candidates that have the abillity to draw and paint poetics. Yet I bring an addition quality that makes me the best person for this field.

I'm Colombian and my technique is the watercolor. I've made more than 15 exhibitions in my country and I had an exhibition in the United States in the Colombian Consulate in Miami.

I paint since 1991 and my aspiration is outward-looking. Attached two works in watercolor sovereign cardboard Arches (22 "x30")
I hope to join such a prestigious publication.
Thank you very much.

Your instructions say to "Check our FAQ page in the Competitions area for more inforomation on how to enter." The Competitions area is blank. Is there another place to find the FAQ page and the other information about the cover competition?

I'm like some of the others...just going in circles on your website trying to get information about entering the cover competition. Could you email me about this?

Re: Invitation to South Dakota Plein Air Artists
As signature member of Artists of the Black Hills & member of Black Hills Plein Aire Painters, I received a forwarded email from Allison Malafronte for your Plein Air blog for your website. I could not receive the information by clicking as directed. I would appreciate your sending me that information.
Thanks so much.

I am unable to find an entry form, help!!!

After scanning the above comments its obvious that I am not the only one with questions regarding your entry forms for the advertised competitions.I have been a subscriber for quite a number of years and would appreciate a reply on this, todays date is December 23,2008

Wow. Amazing.

Um, just as a public service I'll let you in on a secret of the internet.

When you see something of interest, you usually have to click your mouse (the thing in your right hand) while the arrrow (that you control) points at the thing you want to see.

In this case, it's the red and white image that says "Cover Competition"

You can click on the red and white cover competition, but I could not enlarge it to make it readable, only half the page is visable, with no navigation. everything clickable still stays half size.
