Thanks Joe! I've recently begun to sketch again and this gave me a basic plan to begin my sketches with. I always seem to jump right into making a completed painting - then, it seems, I end up with a poor sketch AND a so-so painting. I hope I can "draw the line" now, between sketching and painting.

Joe,
Again, wonderful content, very informative and helpful. I'll be passing this info on to my daughter (a budding young artist). Thanks!
A great lesson from somebody who knows how! Using the demonstration concepts in my own attempts, confusion and indecision are minimized when actual painting begins. Without doubt this process will give me a great deal more confidence in setting up the work and selecting colors.
