Plum Island Beach
2006, oil, 12 x 16.

The color selection for the rocks in the foreground is excellent. However, the artist may want to consider incorporating the warm tones from the rocks into select areas of the background trees—this change to the background would create a color path throughout the painting. To increase the depth of the painting, I would also suggest lessening the intensity of the trees.
